Hines conseille Reassured sur l’ouverture de son capital à Bridgepoint Development Capital

Hines Associates (“Hines”) is delighted to announce that it has advised the shareholders of Reassured Limited, one of the UK’s biggest life insurance brokers specialising in finding people life insurance cover, on the sale of a minority stake to Bridgepoint Development Capital (“BDC”) to fund the future development of the business.

The transaction, which is subject to the approval of the Financial Conduct Authority, will allow Reassured to continue to lead the growth of its sector, invest in technology to improve its scalability and optimise efficiency, as well as the future development of new products.

Reassured was founded in 2009 and it employs over 600 staff across offices in Basingstoke, Manchester, Southampton and Portsmouth with further offices planned for expansion over the next 12 months.

Hines worked with Reassured’s team over an 18-month period prior to launch of the sale process. During its engagement, Hines: (1) helped Reassured to focus on optimising its current business model and identify future growth opportunities; (2) advised on sale strategy and tactics; (3) helped to position Reassured as a high growth investment opportunity; (4) facilitated introductions to a select group of PE firms during a pre-marketing phase; (5) assisted in the preparation of the sales process; (6) assisted in the selection of investors.

Steve Marshall, Reassured’s founder and CEO, said of Hines’ involvement

“We chose to work with Hines because of their expertise in financial services and their commitment to our business. We were looking for a partner to help us to continue building and diversifying our growing business. It was good to have Hines on our side, as advisers and critical contributors to the project.”

“It was an exciting opportunity to work with Steve and the Reassured team. We helped Reassured to find the right partner for the realisation of Steve’s vision” said Richard Hines.
