Wagner & Hines Associates GmbH launches corporate finance advice services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Wagner & Hines Associates GmbH has been formed as a strategic joint venture that will address the need for corporate finance services to insurance brokers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The M&A market for insurance brokers in Germany and the other DACH countries is experiencing significant consolidation driven by an influx of new capital from trade buyers, Private Equity-backed trade buyers and standalone Private Equity.

The joint venture combines Hines’ expertise in insurance broking, built up in the UK and Ireland, with Dr Ingo Wagner’s local knowledge and network in the DACH region .  The business will be based in Munich and London.

About Wagner  

Dr. Ingo Wagner is a qualified lawyer in Germany and has more than 30 years’ experience as a strategy consultant in the insurance sector.  He has led the insurance practices at Roland Berger, Ernst & Young, A.T. Kearney (with Richard Hines), Bain, BCG, and Accenture. Most recently he advised the shareholders of Bavaria AG in their sale to MRH Trowe.
